Sunday Brawl Tournament At Full Tilt
Full Tilt Poker has long been known for the interesting, and lucrative, promotions. The weekly Sunday tournament called the Sunday Brawl is one of the most attractive. Players duke it out at the poker tables to see who can get the most knockouts (eliminating a player from the tournament) and win as much money as they can in the process. Be aware, however, the players at Full Tilt take this tournament seriously. The weekly knockout leader is typically around 12 to 15 knockouts. The current record for most knockouts in a single tournament is 31 while the all time record for knockouts is 119. BTW, Full Tilt makes our list of the all time easiest poker sites.
Why are Knockouts Important?
Besides the money potential in removing another shark from the pond that comes with eliminating a fellow player, each player is worth $40. So, when you eliminate a player, $40 is immediately deposited into your account. For the record holder (31 knockouts), this meant a bonus sum of $1,240 just for playing well. In addition to the tournament winnings, this can easily add up to a tidy sum for the tournament. You don’t have to break any records to make some money by playing on Sunday. If you are able to knock out just six other players, your buy-in is covered. Knock out a few more, and you’ve made a bit of extra cash to round out the week. As you accumulate knockouts, you can keep track of your progress by checking the leader board located directly on the Sunday Brawl section of Full Tilt Poker.
Buy In and Prizes
The buy-in for every Sunday Brawl Tournament is currently set at $256. $40 from this amount is designated to the bounty set on your head. $200 of your buy-in is designated to the guaranteed $350,000 cash prize pool awarded to the top earners of the tournament. Doing well in the regular Sunday Brawl can also qualify you to participate in the Sunday Mulligan and other guaranteed prize tournaments, as well as substantially boost your Full Tilt Point and Iron Man accounts. Playing well in the Sunday Brawl can also take you one step closer to qualifying for the elusive seat at the World Series of Poker.
Player Pool
Many players at Full Tilt spend most of their time at the larger, guaranteed cash tournaments. However, on average, the Sunday Brawl draws in about 2,000 diverse players. Most first place players are able to take home about $85,000 in cash. The enormous prize pool also allows the second place winner to see an additional $50,000 in their account. Even the 9th place finisher typically takes home about $5,000 in prize money. Some big names on Full Tilt Poker are regulars in the Sunday Brawl. Brandon Adams, Randy Haddox and Brent Hanks are regular players. If you manage to knock out one of those sharks, that $40 bounty can turn into something really special.
