Each year, the World Series of Poker is televised on ESPN. Players compete in a weekly tournament each Sunday for six weeks, and the top twenty-five players from each tournament qualify for the final tournament. The winner of the final tournament earns a free seat in the World Series of Poker. This year, ESPN’s Poker Club tournament was won by Eric Mullen, a 37-year-old transportation planner for the Michigan Department of Transportation. He defeated 441 opposing players to earn his spot in the World Series.
